INDONESIA: This Is How They Treated Me In The Village – Indonesian street food in West Sumatra

Indonesian street food in West Sumatra, Indonesia – In this video, I will take you to a weekly traditional village Minang market to try some local delicacies, chat with the locals and then we’ll go to the nearby city of Pariaman to taste some incredibly delicious seafood.

Our Indonesian street food tour in West Sumatra starts at the local village market happening every Saturday. We immediately started with fireworks by finding a minivan full of locally sourced Durian. You will see how they treated me in the village.

After that, we entered the market and we found a lot of traditional Minang street food such as Ketupat Gulai, Bubur Kampiun, Es Cendol, cakes and the unique Sate Pariaman.

This Indonesian street food adventure was incredible and will forever be in my heart as the people treated me with so much warmth and love.

Our Indonesian street food tour in West Sumatra continues and we went to Pariaman for a massive seafood feast. We tried squid, prawns, anchovies, their famous Gulai Kepala Ikan and much more. I was blown away by the freshness of the seafood and the hospitality of the staff.

Hope you enjoyed our Indonesian street food tour in the villages of West Sumatra.
