Christmas in Vietnam ft. Bun Thit Nuong

Christmas in Vietnam ft. Bun Thit Nuong

How is Christmas celebrated in Vietnam? I was in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh) at the end of December and walked around the city to get a taste of the festivities. We begin the day with an unforgettable bowl of Bún Thịt Nướng (Vietnamese Grilled Pork with Vermicelli) from a street food vendor set up two blocks away from Ben Thanh Market. Afterwards we head to Nguyen Hue Walking Street where thousands of locals gather to hang out. To see the view from above, we sit on balconies of an old apartment building converted into a community of cafes, restaurants and boutiques. We people watch, drink a whole bottle of sake, befriend locals and end the night with more tasty Vietnamese street food: Vietnamese Pizza Recipe (Bánh Tráng Nướng)! Watch to see the action unfold 🙂
