Bánh Tráng Chiên – What an interesting bánh tráng. This was a first time trying this not only for myself, but Harry as well. Fried in a wok with pork belly, Vietnamese coriander, eggs, spices and then for my version, topped with some sunny side eggs. Accompanied with a sauce full of satay, kumquat, sugar, and salt. This was one of the most delcious and unique bánh tráng I have ever eaten.

Phá Lấu Khìa Nước Dừa – If the sight of this location doesn’t automatically make your mouth water, then something is wrong with you. Not one, but 2-3 tables louded full of various animal products that have been stewed in a rich coconut broth. Then cooked to order with more coconut sauce, oil, and garlic. One of the most snack delicious offal stews I have eaten in Saigon.

Cơm Tấm Bà Há – Now, you can not come to Saigon and not eat cơm tấm and when you have a place that has been around for over 50 years, you know it is a must eat spot. Trying something different I went for the fried fish paste and chả with the salted egg yolk (their specialty). After a few bites, I quickly realized why this place has been open for over 50 years. Perfect rice and amazing dishes to accompany it.
