What an awesome day in Manila! We spent the day in the worlds OLDEST chinatown! Dating back to 1594! Even though you may think its old, the food, flavour and culture is still very much ALIVE here in the Philippines, and it certainly did not disappoint!
In this video we venture around Chinatown also known as Binondo and get totally stuck into a wide variety of food and flavour! Our very first street food tour in the Philippines!
First up is Dong Bei Dumplings – excellent pork and chive dumplings 200 Pesos for 14! What a deal!
Next up we try Calamansi juice for the first time! 80 Pesos
Lumpia (Giant vegetable burrito/spring roll – very delicious – 95 Pesos
Shanghai Fried Siopao – this was the HIGHLIGHT of the food journey we had today! The most delicious steamed bun for only 30 Pesos, we can see why this was so popular!
